On Saturday 22nd July The Vice Chairman of the Merseyside Fire Authority, Councillor Leslie T Byrom, presided over the ceremony during which two vehicles were donated to St John Rescue Corps by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services.
One of the vans is equipped with a compressed air foam system for fire-fighting whilst the other will be used for the transport of the Corps’ volunteers.
The Corps would like to thank the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service for their constant support during the past 10 years. The Corps would also like to thank Grimaldi Group, Sullivan Maritime and Malta Motorways of the Sea for their support in bringing over the Corps’ vehicles.
