Between the 21st and 27th May, members from six international organisations involved in humantarian rescue participated in a training camp hosted by the St John Rescue Corps. The organisations participating in this training: Water Police Kostanz, Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V. Konstanz, DLRG German Life Saving Association Konstanz, Fire Department Konstanz, Federal Agency for Technical Relief Konstanz & Singen and the Fire Department Austria.
During the training camp, the participants shared experiences regarding different techniques used both within training and operationally during medium to large-scale incidents (such as the Nepal Earthquake). During this stay the experts also visited the Civil Protection Department, the AFM’s Maritime Squadron & AFM’s Air Wing. This training was funded through the EU Civil Protection Exchange of Experts Programme.
