During the first weekend of 2015, the St John Rescue Corps organised an open weekend. Many people visited the Fort and followed demonstrations of rescue operations. They also followed a talk about the prevention of kitchen fires and other household mishaps. Some attendees tried abseiling and going down the zip line. A good number of attendees registered to attend the Recruitment Training 005 which was due to start the following Saturday 10th January.
